Hours vary store to store but generally cover 1p.m. to 4p.m. Many adult cats are on display during the week at the Luv A Pet Center. Kittens are usually kept in foster homes, and are on display only at Adoption Shows on Saturday or Sunday.

Cats In Need promotes pet sterilization and responsible veterinary care. All available cats have been spayed or neutered as well as tested for FeLV and have received their first vaccination. We offer local low cost veterinary information.

As a non-profit organization, our group depends on adoption fees and private contributions to operate our shelter. An adoption fee of about $75-$125 helps us cover the costs of medicines, shots, pet supplies and veterinary fees including sterilization and FeLV testing for our rescue animals.

Cats In Need has a goal of lifetime placement for its rescue cats. Adoption and home requirements are outlined by a Board of Directors who reserve the right to review all adoption applications. For details see Adoption Procedures. The reasons for the application are to help ensure that we match up the right cat to the right family. If you already have a dog at home, we want to make sure that we don’t match you up with a cat that is terrified of dogs. Or if you already have another cat at home, we want to make sure that you don’t adopt a cat that would prefer to be the only cat in the household. These cats have already been through enough stress and we want to try and minimize the possibility of the cat being returned. However, if at any time the adoption doesn’t work out for any reason, Cats in Need will take the cat back.
Site Info Sun, 07 Aug 2005 06:37:40 +0000
