 This big beautiful cat is MaMa. She is black with a dark gray undercoat and is about 3 1/2-4 years old. She's a British Short hair, which are known for being very devoted to their owners! She was a stray cat that was taken into a home where there were already four other cats that didn't like her and were attacking her. MaMa is so sweet though, she didn't fight back.  Cammy is a five year old black and white female. Sadly her owner moved into a living assisted home and couldn't take her. Cammy is a very special little girl. She will require someone who will be patient with her, but trust me, if you give her a chance she is well worth it. I have slowly been gaining her trust (bribing her with canned food helps. She loves it!). She now relaxes and rolls around on the ground when I pet her and also purrs when I hold her. She would probably do best in a quiet home with no other cats, dogs or small children. Mama and Baby Doll are black and white mother and daughter kitties who were found outside wandering around. Baby Doll is about 4 months old and Mama is about 1 year old. They are both very sweet to each other, would be good with children but maybe not dogs.  Updated photo!The top two pictures of Mama and Baby Doll are from six months ago. They have been with us for awhile and have been through a lot! They survived the fire (see home page), are now both out of the Orange County Animal shelter, are safe and are still awaiting to be adopted.  Isabella is a very sweet one year old Torti/Himalayan. She's a pretty smart little girl. She knew she needed some help, she had her front paw stuck in her collar and was hopping around and also had some damage to her tail (unknown what from). So where do you go when your a cat in need? Well you show up on the doorstep of Peg, a Cats in Need volunteer, and ask for help with a sweet meow. Her owner could not be found so she is now looking for a new home. By the way, her tail is healing nicely. ADOPTED!  Update!!Isabella's mommy sent me an update on how she was doing in her new home and she is doing great! She now has a brother named Brutus (also a Petsmart adoptee from Aliso Viejo) that she loves to follow around and play with. She loves to curl up next to him and take naps.  These two beauties are Aphrodite (goddess of love and beauty) and Fluffy (well, she's fluffy  ). They are about a year old now and yes, they are sisters.  Chester is a talkative two year old black and white boy. He was rescued from the Orange County Animal Shelter when one of the volunteers spotted him while she was there visiting the other cats that survived the Brea fire. She decided to rescue him in memory of one of the other cats (Thomas) that died in the fire.  Tweety is a wonderful, full of life two year old male cat who was originally rescued from the Pomona shelter. When his owner moved away, Tweety was left behind with roommates that wouldn't feed him! He is such a love and wants soooo much to give and get attention. When I let him out of his cage to play he came right up to me and wanted to be loved. If you have him on your lap he will stand up and put both of his paws on either side of your face and head butt your chin (I call this Tweety hugs!). He has been around dogs before and seemed to not have a problem with them (if their not aggressive). He seems very curious about the other cats in the other cages around him too. He has beautiful markings on his back that make me think that he might be part Bengal.  ADOPTED! [ 1134 reads ] |
