The following four kitty adoption success stories are about my four little fur angels. My husband and I adopted them from the Brea Cats in Need. First we brought home Peaches on April 5, 2002. She was described on the sign on her cage as very loving and quiet. Well, the very loving part is true, but when she came home with us, she found her voice! And we loved it. Peaches helped to heal our hearts after we had to say goodbye to my other feline friend of almost nineteen years, Baxter. Peaches has one of the sweetest souls. She loves to play with toy mice, she loves to eat and she also gives nose kisses. We are so blessed to have her in our home.
Next is Toby (formerly known as Mittens). He came to live with us on September 19, 2002. We thought that Peaches would benefit from having a kitty companion around the house. Little did we know that Peaches would have preferred to be the only cat. That's not to say that she doesn't like her new little brother. She just likes him about as much as any sister likes their rambunctious little brother. Toby is a sweet and loving little guy who loves to snuggle with me on the couch. He also has an endearing jealous streak in him. If we are giving attention to the other kitties he will sit just out of arms reach and pout like a little child until we go to him and give him some loving too.
Thumbs is a 5 year old tabby who is a polydactyl (extra toes). Everyone who sees him comments on his beautiful green eyes. He would do well with older children that know how to treat cats, but he doesn't do well with dogs! Dogs frighten him! He has been stuck in a cage for so long and would love to be able to have a home of his own where he can stretch and play and feel safe.
Kenzi is a 7 year old brown female tabby. Kenzi has a sad story. Her previous owner had taken her to the vet a few days before Christmas 2004 to be put to sleep because she had a skin condition. Because she had fleas that irritated her skin, she lost her fur. Thankfully, the vet did not put her to sleep, got rid of her fleas, and now her beautiful fur has grown back in; she is happy to be alive. Because of her reaction to fleas, she needs to be kept in a flea free environment. She is a beautiful cat but it's not easy to capture her beauty in a picture. She doesn't like the flash as you can see.
Tara is a silly little girl who was born in July in a junkyard in Chino. She is loving and full of energy! She would really prefer to go to a home with another kitten or young cat to play with, or else she might get bored!
Tad is a beautiful 2 year old male orange tabby. He is a polydactyl (extra toes). He needs to be the only cat in the household since he doesn't like to share his home with other cats. He wants to get all the attention for himself. He needs a home with no young children because he can sometimes be feisty. He was abandoned by his previous owner and is looking for a patient and loving owner to adopt him.
